Going with the crowd

There are few hours remaining for the year 2006. Was at the hypermarket earlier and saw many young and old shoppers busy pilling up their trolley with snacks and spirits.

Just as everyone gets excited about their plans tonight (mostly planned months ago!) here i am alone in a foreign land. No sympathy required...as this is by choice. Not that there were many for me to choose from, but am really not up for any house parties, jumping around and making new friends. Yes, i have just left behind a bunch of warm and friendly people in my home country with the aim to persue my dreams. It is certainly costing me a lot.

Well, over the years, one of the lessons learnt is that, it is always darkest before dawn. Am facing the new year with the hope that things will turn better..not sure how is that possible, but still keeping this hope alive within me. Perhaps by next yer this time, i can look back and say, ah haa....it was actually a preparation process that is taking place now. :)
