One man's island
You move about, getting busy with stuff, thinking that you are sacrificing yourself for the people you care about, to find people actually perceive you as childish and selfish. It is all about who then? Yourself or others? Ever find yourself in such situation?
This might be what the Psychologist called, self-sympathy. Everytime, thinking yourself as a victim in every situation. In some culture, it is very much appreciated, especially among women, who generally is expected to play the role of a helpless one, needing guidance. However, excessiveness will make people burdened. So, it is good time to put a stop. How?
Deny yourself, even when you are suffering. Nobody would enjoy seeing other's pain and suffering. In a cosmopolitian society, everything should be kept personal. Why trouble others with your own problem. To them, it is not a problem at all. Just wear your smile and forget it all. As time goes, the problem (you so think) will go away too. Make your way, stand firm, and you shall command the respect of the world.
